Born and raised in Saint John, Rick now resides with his wife and family in Quispamsis where he has lived for the last 35 years. He has been active in the community, particularly in his work with the Saint John Kiwanis Club and the military.
Rick is a well-respected member of the New Brunswick legal community. His main areas of practice are family law, residential property and wills and estates. Rick has extensive experience in family law, both in the areas of litigation and in other out of court family law settlement methods. He has also been helping his clients with their real estate transactions, wills and probate matters since 1979.
In his practice, Rick feels that it is very important to understand the needs and wishes of his clients and the realities of the situation that they are in, particularly in family law cases. This he does by listening to what the client is saying and balancing that with his thorough knowledge of the law and his practical experience of over 40 years of practice to develop a solution best suited to the client, whether they are dealing with a complex family situation or helping someone plan their estate or buy or sell their property.
Rick has been a member of the Saint John Kiwanis Club for over 35 years and has been very active in their community projects and programs, having served as President of the Club on 3 occasions. He was also a member of the military, serving in the Communication Reserve for 23 years, having been the Commanding Officer of 722 Communication Squadron in Saint John and Group Commander of 72 Communication Group in Halifax. Over the years Rick has served on numerous Boards of Directors and been involved in many non-profit organizations in the Saint John area.
